Prioritizing Mental Health for Those Who Serve
These are the annual suicide statistics for the communities we serve. Prioritizing mental health is not just a moral imperative but a vital investment in the well-being of our healthcare and service professionals. Let’s work together to break the stigma, improve access to care, and create a culture of support for those who serve. The lives we save may be our own.

Our Vision
We envision the FRBHI serving as a national and international leader working with first responder communities to enable them to better serve, treat, and interact with the public under a new paradigm that incorporates a greater level of knowledge and understanding in matters of self-care, mental health, and behavioral based emergencies. In response to the growing need to provide an exceptional educational experience to our first responders in clinical mental health, behavioral based emergencies, organizational development, and proactive peer support. We established the First Responder Behavioral Health Institute.
What We Do
We deliver value to our students by offering culturally competent subject matter experts who engage in deep and meaningful lessons on behavioral health, leadership development, and self-awareness as it relates to first responders.
Why We Do It
We directly address the problems associated with first responder suicide and toxic leadership by introducing high-value organizational development strategies, and we act as culturally competent change agents. We promote evolution, not revolution.
How We Do It
We offer education and training through workshops and seminars and organizational development consulting to first responder organizations across the globe. It’s our mission to satisfy all first responders’ needs for a psychologically safe workplace that serves to protect employees and the organization from loss of life incidents, workers compensation claims and litigation.
